The format here is probably familiar to most people. The board has true threading--meaning you can get from the one message in a thread to the next, without returning to the main index. Other features include:
There are actually two boards, the main one and a "Previously on the Guild".
Stories are first posted on the main Derbyshire Writers' Guild Message Board, and then they are manually transferred over to the Archives (Epilogue Abbey and Fantasia Gallery).
The Previously On The Guild board is for older messages.
Because the board gets a large number of posts every day, it is necessary to frequently delete the older messages. This means that stories are sometimes up for as little as two days before they needed to be removed. However, instead of removing them entirely after a few days, all posts will be moved to the "older stories" page, where they will be available to read for about an additional week. The older stories page, however, does not allow new posts--it is "read only".
If you have any questions or comments, please put them on the Jane Austen's Tea Room board or send an e-mail to the address below.
I'd like to thank Kathlyn for all the work she has done getting the boards up and running. She spent a great deal of time figuring out how they work and getting them put together. Thanks Kathlyn!
I hope you like our home! ~ Ann
